Someone was inquiring about Peet's coffee and tea. Here is the message I
received from them today. Drink up!
Thank you for your inquiry. All of our coffees and teas are
gluten
free. The descriptions referring to "notes", and/or "hints" are just
that,
not actual constituents but rather these are words we use to describe
taste.
We use words such as smokey, chocolaty, woodsy, etc. to describe the
wide
range of flavor that can be part of the experience in tasting a
particular
coffee or tea.
The only gluten you will find in any of our products would be in
our
soy drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) that are sold in our retail
stores,
and it must be requested by the customer for soy milk to be used,
otherwise
you will come across no gluten in any of our strait coffee or tea. I
hope
this helps to answer your question and thank you again for your email.
