I had asked whether the person (Anne Sokowlowski, as it turns out) who used Triboron Plus supplements instead of Fosamax, etc. was using them as a preventative, or to rebuild bone density. Here is what Anne replied. It's encouraging to hear that a person with CD can have such healthy bones. I was hoping to hear that the supplements had helped rebuild bone from a condition of osteoporosis, which is my situation.
Anne's message:
I took it for a broken shoulder and kept on taking it because two drs told me it
was the best on the market. I had one bone density test about 4 years ago and it
came out as 175 which is excellent. After that, I had a staph infection which
resulted in a toe amputation and I wasn't able to do my usual walking [in fact,
fell over alot] and I was concerned that my bone density would go way down as a
result. I did, hoever, continue to take the TriBoronPlus. Had a bone density test
again several months ago and even with my inability for most of that time to do any
serious walking....bone desnity went up even more!!! I'm almost 61 and I was told
that I have better bone density than women half my age....I attrribute it to the
TriBoronPlus....I have my 21 year old taking it daily....ya gotta take cal/mag,
might as well take the stuff that works, right?
