The first of the two recipes sounds good
I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it tastes alot like a
Reese's p.b.cup.
Peanut Butter Bars
1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups peanut butter
2 1/2 to 3 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tablespoon vanilla
12 oz pkg chocolate chips
2 Tablespoons butter
Mix melted butter, peanut butter, conf. sugar, br. sugar and vanilla.
Press evenly into a 10" x 15" jelly roll pan.
Melt together chocolate chips and 2 T. butter.
Spread on top of bars.
Cut before chocolate sets.
* I usually set these in the frig a few minutes to set the chocolate up
enough to cut without making a mess. Then I cut them all and store
in tupperware between layers of wax paper. They keep a long time
if you can keep people out of them! Everybody loves these.
