Hello all Gambia L-readers,
I want to have contact with anybody who is in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, Spain (except for the Swedish Consulate and the Seamen Union because they cannot help us).
Please reply to my private email address [log in to unmask]
Since January 2000 there is a fishing vessel called "AIDA" in Las Palmas harbour confiscated by the harbour police. One of the persons involved was a Gambian called MamBarra "Sacka" George. Since then they were arrested by the harbour police and put in jail. I am very worried because I do not know if he is dead or alive. He was charged for helping to smuggle 37 illegal immigrants from the Gambia, Dakar and Cap Verde into Las Palmas. This was published on the internet. Maybe the Human Right Office or any Gambian organisation or foreign organisations could help if we know the contact.
Grateful for any assistance. Immediate response will be highly appreciated.
Regards, Ebrima Lamin George MamBeram
