1.  When you restarted, did you clear the PRam?

2.  If you are using less than OS 9, do you have virtual memory set to
one mb above installed memory (ie, 33 MB)

(I don't know if this is applicable in OS 9 and above)

3.  When you are printing, do you have all the other applications
closed?

4.  Have you given Acrobat reader more memory?

5.  Have you tried throwing out your printer and finder preferences and
rebooting?

6.  Have you given your finder more memory?  (that requires ResEdit or
some resource editing program)
