Is anyone on the Kenwood mailing list? There doesn't seem to be much of a
peep out of them! <HI HI>
Now on to my reason for posting. I would like to see a 100W version of the
817 type who ever else decides to explore the possibility of releasing
one. Now there would be a perfect portable station!
I'm not much of a fan of QRP, wait a minute, I must be. After all, 100W
can almost be considered QRP now a days! <HI HI>
As to Icomm or Kenwood releasing an 817 competitor, in the near future, I
wouldn't exactly hold my breath. I think Kenwood is going to concentrate
on this new IC-706MKIIG competitor. This could be a dandy as well
especially if you stick a VS-3 and an internal automatic antenna tuner in it.
