Inventor smells a fortune in fragrant mobiles
A German inventor is to patent a device to make mobile telephones emit
perfume.
'Smell-a-phone' inventor, electrician Andreas Wuellner, says the gadget
will eliminate the need for irritating ringtones.
He says eventually users will be able to choose a perfume to identify
each caller.
The prototype device is a small box that clips onto the back of a phone.
Inside is a chip already infused with a natural oil of the user's
choice.
The oil is activated every time there's an incoming call.
The 38-year-old from Lueneburg said the invention could cost less than
£20, if taken on by a big company and mass-produced.
He hopes to persuade one to sign a licensing agreement in the New Year.
