It is frustrating when people don't understand. It reminds me of my Mom
who persisted in feeding her dog chocolate when I told her 100 times it
wasn't good for dogs and could be fatal... because chocolate is good, the
dog likes it, and it's "kind" to share the joy.

All of my daughters Pre-school teachers know about her milk allergy, but
whenever there is s situation when parents are helping (like for the end
of the school year when they had a party which included an ice-cream
Sunday bar) I send her to school with stickers on her front and back. On
it is printed in huge, bold letters "NO DAIRY AT ALL PLEASE". It's hard to
miss and prevents accidents. She's still too young to articulate her
allergy... and what kid would say no to a cup cake or the like?
