Alrighty, now after having read `Gone With The Wind a gazillion
times, and having heard both grits and hominy mentioned in many other
contexts over the years, I still haven't worked out WHAT the blazes
they are - I know they are food, but that's about it. In my world,
`grit' is what I used to get in my knees when I fell over on pebbly
ground, and hominy - well, not even a word in this part of the world.
So can someone please describe them to me, I get the impression grits
are a little bit like rice, but I could be wrong.
