I gave been gluten-free for 2 months now. I have gotten somewhat better
but I also have other issues. I am still very bloated, get tired very
easy, infections, sore muscles, cold, food cravings, etc. I believe that I
have nutrient imbalances and deficiences due to Celiac Disease.
The following are the nutrients that seem to be malabsorbed:
Calcium
Carbs
Fats
Lactose
Protein
Sugar
And Others
At one time, I tried eliminating the above foods from my diet but found
that I was jeoparidizing my health. I even tried eliminating just a couple
but my health suffered serious effects.
My question - Is this something that is just going to take lots of time to
recover? I have not been to any specialists for CD to date. My first
appointmen
t was cancelled an hour before my appointment time. However, I
have a couple appointments coming up in 2 weeks & 4 1/2 weeks.
Thanks,
~Lynn in CT
