Well, I'm elderly and my underactive thyroid sure hurt my quality of life! Raised my cholesterol too and did other "harmful" things. With adequate treatment I finally have improved quality of life. And, yes, the energy to be mean (sometimes.)  It sure beats being a zombie!  (Thank you, Dr. Michael!)
