Thanks for the quick replies!
1.  How about vacuumed packing...good idea for something's but too bulky for a long trip, thanks...
2.  The fruits and veggies isle in any supermarket will keep you alive
indefinitely. I bring some other things, and add as I see fit items in
stores. That's how I travel on my bike, or overseas for that matter.. In the
heat that's probably the best thing to eat anyway. :)....great idea!  thanks
