Many thanks to the many who replied....I seem to get far more knowledge
from those of you who actually experience this disease, than doctors who
have briefly read about it.
The most informative reply was from someone who posted that the CNS does
heal, but takes an incredibly long time to do so(many years),and really it
depends on how long the damage was occuring before the reason for it was
found.
Several replies also mentioned fibromyalgia, and the possibility that the
damage, may,in fact,be due to some other underlying condition. One lady wrote
that MS has been diagnosed, years later, she discovered she was intolerant to
gluten, cutting the gluten from her life, all her MS symptoms went.
In my case, the ataxia has cleared, except on the odd day,I feel I can`t
move, even though I know there has been no accidental gluten ingestion.
As they say in the Xfiles `the truth is out there somewhere`
Many thanks once again
Trish
