I was informed by an endocrinologist, Dr. Malcom Ppowell in Marin County near San Francisco, that thyroid antibodies may be negative after one starts thyroid supplements, even though they were positive beforehand. I'm not sure if this is on his web page but there is other good info there - I forget the exact URL but a search for Endocrine Metabolic Consultants wil find it.
