Mary,
I am one year younger than you, and have other endocrine deficiencies.
Interestingly, as I approach menopause I am told an adjustment in my
other hormones will probably be necessary. It struck me in reading your
post that decreasing female hormone levels could be a culprit. For my
other replacements, it is suggested that I up my dose by 1/3 if estrogen
falls. Vice versa, if estrogen is replaced fully, I need 1/3 less of my
other replacements. (Adrenal insufficiency--therefore I replace
cortisol and mineralocorticoid.) I'm not sure if the thyroid hormone
works the same way, but apparently less estrogen could indicate a need
for upping it.

Holly
