The only purpose of T4 is to have it available for conversion to T3 when
needed -- if the body actually converts it to T3 instead of Reverse T3.

How to tell how much T3 to take?
1) body temperature throughout the day. (I finally got up to 98.6!)
2) watch blood pressure and pulse.
3) pay attention to how you feel.

I take it twice a day, and I'm doing better with more in the morning and less
at night.

I told my regular doctor that I bet that after six months of T3 only, my
surplus T4 would be reduced and my excessively high Reverse T3 would be
reduced and maybe my TSH would go up from practically nil to something. Will
tell you all in April.
