You might want to check the archives.  I seem to remember a discussion about
a similar type problem some members experienced in the foot area.  I can't
say that I have, but my mother (Hashi's) had a similar type spot on the
bottom of her foot that would crack (deeply) and peel.  Nothing she tried
would work.

Plantar fascitis is specific to the foot in that it refers to the fascia
that runs along the bottom of the foot under the arch.  If plantar fascitis
can be caused by neuropathy related to thyroid I would imagine that the
neuropathy can express itself similarly in other areas of the body.
