There are lots of materials about cortisol levels and patterns as they
relate to hypothyroidism and depression. A striking finding is that both
conditions exhibit high cortisol levels. the difference lies only in the
pattern at which time of day and prevalent symptoms the levels
correlate. You may want to do a Medline search.
