Yesterday my Internist called in a script for Clorazepate. My husband
filled it, and the first pill really helped. But the one I took at bedtime
kept me up most of the night totally wired. I saw the doc today, and he
said that was strange, then prescribed Paxil.
Here are my most recent labs: taken March 28th.
TSH 5.16 (My TSH on January 2nd was 3.04.)
Free T4 1.15
Total T3: 224
I have an appointment with Doc Don (1st one)
Chlorazepate is an anxiolytic/antiseizure drug of the benzodiazepam family.
I hope the Paxil works, but its effects take much longer compared with the
former.
Your TSH in March indicates hypothyroidism. You need in addition a complete
thyroid profile including Free T3 and Free T4. In light of your symptoms
and your TSH reading I'm glad you have an appointment with Doc Don.
