Thanks Skipper and Gail K. for your comments regarding my
questions about test concerns. I , too, am grateful for the
time and effort all of you take to help those of us with
questions. (Applause). You are fortunate in your doctor,
Gail. If we could get action on the part of our College of
Physicians, we would hopefully get our best Doc back
treating us again.
I would not even think of reducing my thyroid meds except
with feet digging trenches, Skipper, if I hadn't been
regressing in the pain and stiffness area before doing it. I
sure hope that the DHEA takes that away. I am not anxious
to have any more confrontations with doctors over the amount
of thyroid I take, but I certainly will rather than face the
alternative. No longer will I blindly follow where I am led
by medical people who are not walking in my shoes or should
I say stumbling and falling in them. I won't forget the
better quality of life I now enjoy.
Gail, please explain the anemia even though the ferritin
(iron) level is high. My hemoglobin was 133 with a ref.
120 - 160. Would this be slightly anemic? Thanks
Phyllis
