I was recently diagnosed with Hashimito's, though I have been on thyroid
meds for about 10 years. I've had a rough year, and last week insisted that
my Internist do more thorough blood testing on me. Here are the results:

TSH 5.16
Free T4 1.15
Free T3 224

My TSH on January 2nd was 3.04.

I asked my doc if my TSH at 5.16, even though it was within the range of
0.35 - 5.50 might still not be right for me individually, and he agreed that
"perhaps" I could increase my Armour Thyroid a little bit. So in the last
week I've upped it from 60 mg to 67 1/2 mg. Today I got a note from the doc
with comments on my various blood work, which says "Your thyroid function is
in range (normal) at this time."

Now I'm totally confused!!! If my TSh was so close to one end of the range,
and my Free T3 was out of range, how is my thyroid function normal???

Can someone help me here?

Thanks,
Caron Mosey
