>> I started taking the Armour and last week I broke out in hives... Last
night I ended up in the ER with a severe allergic reaction. My Dr and my
pharmacist worked very closely this morning and came to the conclusion that
I am allergic to an ingredient in the Armour called Tartrazine this
ingredient is also in Thyrolar so it looks like I am back to the Levoxyl

If no one posts with the right name, you can find on Mary Shomon's site the
name of an Armour equivalent that is hypoallergenic. It's either nature
thyroid, biotech, or a name that escapes me right now but it does exist.<<

Armour is made by Forrest Pharmaceuticals. There is also a desiccated
thyroid manufactured by Qualitest. I don't know if it has a specific name.
One time when I went to fill my prescription that's what the pharmacy tried
to give me.
