T2 is necessary for the conversion of T4 to T3, it is neccessary for the
activity of the deiodinase. We need ALL the thyroid hormones, that's why
probably a lot of people do much better on something like Armour (natural
thyroid drugs contain all the thyroidhormones) then on the synthetic T4 and
T3 drugs. I wish I could find and endo in The Netherlands whom is willing to
prescribe this. I would definetely give it a go.
 A lot more information on all the different thyroid hormones  and their
action, you can find on a webpage called 'Gail's thyroid tips' (can't find
the address right now. I could look it up for you or maybe you can put the
words into a search engine.
If you can't find it, let me know, I will try to find it in my 'archives'.
