Yes, and have you switched to chromium GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor)
instead?  The effect of chromium on blood sugar appears to be due to a
substance known as glucose tolerance factor, a complex molecule made up of
niacin, tripeptide glutathione, and chromium.  GTF potentiates the action of
insulin, normalizing blood sugar levels.

Chromium absorption is low with only 10% absorbed from food sources, and .5
to 1% from supplemental forms.

North American soils are seriously depleted of chromium due to heavy
overcropping and the use of artifical fertilizers.
