In some cases a mobo that won't do POST can be fixed, but if you bought a brand new ASUS mobo, why would you want to do that. They mean that in their manual that if you can't do a POST screen in 30 seconds something is wrong. I would NOT keep something I paid good money for that was brand new and needed to be repaired. Return it for a new one.
