As you may have noticed it in the previous replies, "windows 98 shutdown
problem" may be caused by several reasons. In my case, it was caused by the
McAffee anti virus program in my PC. I deleted all the files in the register
related with the anti virus program. Word of caution, the person editing the
register must have knowledge's on this task, in to avoid a PC crash.
