I don't have a firm answer but I do have a recommendation or two.
1. The new system may work with out doing a reinstall of the OS but I
wouldn't count on it.
2. That means you can try but you should have a backup of your data.
3. You should be able to pick one of you hard drives to use as the primary
in the new system. Backup the data files to the other HD. So you have all
your valuable data on one HD. Then wipe the other one and do a clean install
of Win98 on it in your new system.
4. Having suggested that nothing replaces having a reliable backup. CD-R are
available for around 50  bucks on sale.
