Go to the Microsoft Site and get to the Message Q270008 and follow those
instructions. Additionally you may want to check and make sure you have the
drive installed as the Master on the 2nd IDE Controller.

There is the only way to work correctly with Win2000/XP: to do
regularly System Backup! In the case of installation umbigiouse
programs essentially.
First you should be made Start\Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\Backup\ Backup wizard!
To restore last saved system state use Start\Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\Backup\ Restore wizard!
In your case it seems to me that you can restore the system state
saved automatically during installation.
