The thing that I hate about self-propelled vacs is
that you can't vacuum in the usual "back&forth" method
you see most people do. Pulling the thing backward
after pushing it forward is *tough*! When I would
vacuum with a self-propelled vac, I would vac as if I
were mowing the lawn. I would go forward until I hit
something and then turn around and go in the opposite
direction, which means I take longer (i.e., standing
up and walking around longer).
We now have this cannister vac that my husband and I
thought would be easier for me. However, it turned
out to be harder! Vacuuming with the nosel thing is
easier, but the cannister part is too heavy and
cumbersome to drag around with me when I only have
full use of one arm/hand.
