Hi Barbara. Although we have some very dedicated and excellent parents on
this list, it is composed mainly of adults with disabilities. As a person
with mild CP who has been in special education as well as trained special ed.
teachers, my advice would be for your to advocate for children as well as
challenging them to do their best. I feel strongly from my experience that
special education as I see it is just and elaborate baby sitting operation
that does not develop a child's full potential.
