I have an unusual situation. I have a system that was working fine on Sunday. Monday morning the system was off (powered itself off I guess). It would not come back on. Tested the outlet and was getting a good voltage. Swapped power supplies - still no response (no lights, no fans). Pulled the power plugs from all peripherals (CD, floppy, HD) and the system booted. One by one, I put each power plug back. Whenever power is supplied to the hard drive, the system won't respond. Tried the same hard drive in another system, same results. Took the drive out of the cage (to eliminate potiental grounding problems) - same result.
My questions - Has anyone else ran into this problem? Any way to revive the HD long enough to retrieve any data? Should I suspect any problems elsewhere, after replacing the power supply and HD?
Thanks for any suggestions!
