You have the following problem:
For some reasons Your CD ROM loose contact in the IDE cable.
Try to reinstall your IDE cable first.
Then look in the Control Panel/Devices if there any CD ROM drives.
If the case is NO, then try to use Control Panel/Hardware Setup.
In the case of Plag & Play device it will be recognized
automatically.
However, in the opposite case you should to install CD ROM by
manually.
