My 60 gig hard drive has 2 partitions. I was dual booting Win98 and
Win2000. In the process of upgrading to WinXP, I tried to format and
delete the large partition in which Win2000 was on (NTFS). I could never
get that to work... so, I booted to Win98 and installed WinXP from there.
The installation allowed me to format both partitions NTFS, so now I have
2 partitions... which doesn't bother me too much... but, I have one big
problem. My system still attempts to dual boot... I have to choose either
WinXP or Windows 2000 Recovery Mode. Since I formated the drive 2000 was
on, I don't get the prompt for Win2000, but I do get the prompt for
Recovery. How can I eliminate the dual boot so the system only boots
directly to WinXP?? And a bonus question... how can I eliminate my 2nd
partition so I only have one large partition?? My Win98 startup disk
can't work with NTFS... nor can my Western Digital setup disk. Thanks!!!!
