I just read an account of the Hawaii humane society spending $50,000 to
rescue one little dog................  Now, don't get me wrong, I am happy it
got rescued, but they could have used that much money to serve many more
animals!

Couldn't the dog be rescued by volunteers? She wonders, just about to enter
slumberland....
