An increase in Estrogen level elicits an increase in binding of thyroxine
(T4) to the carrier and binding proteins. So, less thyroid is available in
free form. This maybe demonstrated using Total T4 Assay, T3 Resin Uptake and
FTI (Free Thyroxine Index).
