I experienced severe cystic acne ( this is acne that is large and under the skin, it doesn't really surface, is painful and leaves scars.) along my jaw line and neck. I had never had a problem with my skin before. After being on the right dose of thyroid medication for awhile I haven't had a problem since. I am hypothyroid and I take synthroid.
