Hello evryone . This is the first time I wrote to Thyroid Diget. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism almost a year ago. I was gaining weight and retaining a lot of fluid. Iwas also very tired all the time and would often fall asleep at the table or at my computer or just about anywhere. I would wake up by night feeling as though I was suffocating. Finally after some time my Doctor admitted me in the hospital for fluid retention over load.A couple of days after I was admitted I ended up in ICU. I had gone for a nap and the next thing I knew I was waking up in ICU. One of the nurses at the time told me I was slipping into a coma and that's how come I was there. I just recently asked my doctor just what had happened that dy and she said that I was in an Aphnea phase and that my heart slowed down. I was placed on 125mg. of Synthroid and almost a year later and doing much better. There are times, however, that I feel really tired.
I have gained a lot of weight and am trying to figure out a way to loose it more quickly without exercising alot or starving myself, which I can't really do because I am also a Diabetic. Does anyone have any suggestions for me that may help?
