I'd be surprised if you were taking the equivalent of 1/2 grain, as all
over-the-counter thyroid supplements are thyroxine-free.

Have you been tested? What were your numbers?
Personally, I never got any benefit to thyroid supplements and I tried many
in the 2-3 years it took to get diagnosed. Once I was diagnosed and on
Armour thyroid (Rx), I did find that l-tyrosine and selenium were helpful
in boosting my thyroid.
