I have the beginning stages of age related "nerve deafness" which may be
cochlear, even though the ear doctor said I was "young." (Okay, I belong to
Jack Benny's 39 forever club, and I've been hypothyroid longer than that.)
Found an interesting site that has short articles on research on mice
indicating that hypothyroid conditions and mineral deficiencies common with
hypothyroidism cause hearing loss due to structural changes in cells and
structures involved in hearing.
