I can't answer about the tumor, but you should get your thyroid treated. You
didn't say why or how much prednisone you were / are on. If your TSH was
taken while on corticosteroids, the prednisone literature will tell you it
distorts TSH. Therefore, it is artificially low. Prednisone taken in any
but physiological dosage (about 5 mg of prednisone daily) interferes with the
conversion of inactive T4 to the active thyroid hormone T3. Therefore, you
should have a T3 product.
The truth is regardless of TSH, if you take thyroid meds and get better, than
you are hypothyroid.
