Here's something that rarely happens
in the thyroid world:

When I asked my new endo to recheck my
thyroid he did *not* order a TSH.

He ordered Free & Total T4,  & Total T3
and said he can interpret from those instead.

He also mentioned that there has
been some talk lately that Free T3 readings
may not be as accurate as once thought,
so now he is figuring things out from the
tests mentioned above.
