For what it's worth, my very low bone density
was discovered at a young age (late 30's)
before I was found to be hypothryroid and
before meds were even started. Genetics,
inactive lifestyle, low vitamin d levels...
who knows the cause. Now, even with
increasing levels of levoxyl, plus
estrogen, testosterone and weight lifting...
no further deterioration in the last 2 years.
