i often read that people who are hypo should eat a low-carb diet. This view
is often attributed to dr. broda barnes.

what is the rationale behind it? can anyone explain it?

I'm seeing a nutritionist who, although she's been helpful so far (6 lbs.
lost in a month), has her own view -- more like a mantra -- that "carbs have
gotten a bad rap." If there is a particular reason people who are hypo
should maintain a low-carbohydrate regimen, I would need to be able to
explain it to her.

Many thanks to all.
