From whay I understand, by reading some articles supposedly written by
doctors, on the internet.... Synthroid was entered through and accepted by
the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) by abnormal channels. It was
accepted before all the testing and evaluations were done. Apparently now
the manufacturers have to agree to go through the proper channels, or it
will be removed.
Many doctors believe this will be done fairly quickly since it has been in
use for so long (must be safe if it has been around for so long...) and
will be accepted....'through the proper channels'. They believe it will
always remain available. Apparently, according to these doctors, it is just
rumor as result of this FDA ruling that the drug's safety is in question.
That may be just the oppinion of some doctors....there may be an opposing
side. In other words, what I am saying may not be 'Gospel truth'
