Going to the doctor to get a total T4 and T3 measurement? Well, some
conditions can give them a high reading including chronic liver disease,
corhosis, severe systemic illness, acromegaly, nephrotic syndrome, surgical
stress, medications including androgens, salycilates, L-asparaginase, large
dose of glucocortoids.

I found this information at "http://www.fpnotebook.com/END62.htm" Maybe
there are sites that show the factors affecting TSH and other commonly used
measures.

So, take some pepto bismol (salyclates) or aspirin before your lab test and
get a false high reading.
