"I wonder how slow release thyroid operates, but I suspect it
>is just a physical retarder like binders or capsules."

Wellness Pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama was the pharmacy that used to be
listed on the Wilson's Syndrome website. Their pharmacist told me it was
strictly cytomel (T3) compounded with methylcellulose and placed in
capsules. I have used this pharmacy and found great service and reasonable
prices. The pricing is related to production primarily as the drug itself
is cheap. They charge the same price regardless of dosage per pill. I have
been able to order a custom package containing about a 2 week supply of each
dose needed, increasing in 7.5 mcg increments up to about 97.5 mcg. I did
not request higher dosages as I did not know what I would need. I'm sure
the original prescription was written to allow flexibility in dosages as I
reordered. It just appears as white powder in a capsule and is odorless and
tasteless.
