Hi Deb and everyone,
Narrow therapeutic window basically means there is a very fine line between
a proper (therapeutic) dose and an excessive dose which can lead to serious
side effects/problems. In drugs with narrow therapeutic windows, it is more
difficult to achieve correct dosing, and close monitoring is necessary
(particularly in elderly people or those with impaired liver and/or kidney
function).
