Dear Marsha,

I was dx'd in mid-March with a TSH of 29. I had the SAME situation. At first, you think
- "Hey! this is great, I feel so much better!" Then all of a sudden you feel like crap
again. Unfortunately, this is the roller-coaster we must ride to get leveled out. As
soon as I felt like I was back-sliding, I called my doctor & told him so. He then
increased my Synthroid. (Of course, it depends on where your TSH was when dx'd. If it
was barely out of range, he may want to wait until you have your next blood test to
increase...). Do you mind sharing what your TSH was when dx'd?

I've already had my 6-week blood test, & well, my TSH went UP to 37. So I was increased
again (to 0.1mg). Just 2 weeks later, I feel fatigued again. This time I have to wait 2
months from the last blood test - without an increase... I just try to focus on the end
result and take one day at a time. It indeed can take several months...Oh, and keep
reading!
Best wishes to you! - keep posting!
