Well, if you're HYPERthyroid, as you suspect, that means you have
too much thyroid hormone in your system at this time. If you are
taking a thyroid supplement, that might be the exact opposite of what
you need and you could be adding to your problem. And definitely
don't add any iodine -- it stimulates the thyroid -- until you check
with your doctor.
Can't you get seen by somebody else in your dr's office? It sounds
pretty much like an emergency to me since you have developed a lot
worse pain fairly quickly. It could be a mistake to rush into self-
treatment without knowing anymore about your thyroid condition and
what you're taking than you seem to. Sorry to be so blunt -- I know you
are desperate -- but since your thyroid condition has not been fully
investigated, you might should hold off until you know more about it.
