On the subject of using body temperature as a way to diagnose thyroid
condition, Kaycie Drennan wrote:

don't know how valid this is, as I haven't talked to my doctor yet

Unfortunately, armed with a record of low temperatures, many doctors
may not take your information seriously. You'll need a doctor who
interprets the low temperature as a component of thyroid symptoms.

If your doctor is unsympathetic, contact the Broda Barnes Research
Foundation, PO Box 98, Trumbull, CT 06611, 203-261-2101. Dr. Barnes was
the doctor who pioneered the body temperature method of diagnosis, which
is considered controversial for most conventional docs.

The Barnes Folks can hook you up with a doc in your area who will
recognize this as a potential symptom.
